Tsuruga Port - Port of Humanity

#Fritavi Tsuruga Port is the only port in Japan where Polish orphans landed in the 1920s, and Jewish refugees carrying "visas for life" landed in the 1940s. The Tsuruga Museum, a museum that has been restored from the time, conveys to future generations the history of the orphans and refugees' landing, the people who reached out to them, and the way the people of Tsuruga welcomed them. The museum focuses on the historical facts of the Polish orphans and Jewish refugees who overcame numerous hardships to land in Tsuruga, and also introduces testimonies and anecdotes from Tsuruga residents at the time, as well as the heartwarming exchanges that continue to this day with those involved.
