Ito Kyuemon Uji Main Branch/Sabo: A Visit to the Hometown of Matcha

After visiting the beautiful Byodo-in Temple, I wanted to go to Nakamura Tokichi for a cup of matcha, but it turned out to be too crowded, so I had to walk a little further, cross the Uji Bridge and come to the Uji main store of "Ito Kyuemon" to have lunch. After all, it is our main store, so there are quite a few people there on weekdays at noon. Fortunately, the store is large enough with many seats, and we were able to get a seat within five minutes of visiting the souvenir area. I ordered the seasonal hydrangea set meal, which is actually matcha crystal jelly ice cream. The green matcha flavor was changed to the colorful hydrangea flavor, and the color was very bright. The main dish is matcha ramen. The green noodles have a faint matcha aroma, and there is a wide and long piece of tofu skin, which is very long when picked up!
