This rock park, known as the "Guardian of the East Sea" by Koreans, is full of hidden corners that are perfect for a visit at dusk. The waves of the Pacific Ocean have carved natural steps of time into the columnar joints. When you step on the three-million-year-old geological rings and stand at the highest point of the rocks, you will see the gantry cranes of Hyundai Heavy Industries in the distance cutting the morning sun into dizzying geometric light spots. The waves leave ever-changing salt crystal paintings in the grooves of the basalt, the oldest marks that even a camera cannot capture. 💡TIPS: 1. When taking bus 112 from City Hall Station, choose a window seat on the right side to see the magical scene of the giant robotic arms of the Hyundai Motor Factory and the offshore drilling platform in the same frame. 2. The "Haenyeo House" at the entrance of the park sells freshly grilled eel rice balls from 7 am. Using seaweed instead of nori is unique to Ulsan. This industrial city has quietly written the most poetic geological code in the folds of the waves and dusk, and the real story of Ulsan is growing wildly in these thriving rock crevices.
