The good old Ryukyu landscape remains at the end of the spectacular underwater road 👘 Hamahiga Island has two villages, Hama and Higa, and old houses with distinctive Okinawan shisa and stone walls line the streets. Higa village is home to one of Okinawa's leading power spots, Shirumichu. It is famous as the god of fertility!! In addition, it is one of the leading mozuku fishing islands in Okinawa, and the island's grandmothers sell freshly harvested mozuku on the road!! At a shop along the main road of the island that we stopped at, one cup of mozuku and shikwasa cost 100 yen, but it was so delicious that we ended up eating three cups! It's super fresh and delicious, so please try it!
