This is where the Uwajima Date clan lived. Of the existing castle towers, there are 12 that have never been rebuilt. Uwajima Castle is one of them. Uwajima Castle stands on a small hill overlooking Uwajima City, and can be reached by climbing stairs and slopes from the parking lot. After walking for about 10 minutes, the castle tower comes into view. Take off your shoes, pay the entrance fee and enter the castle.
