[Veliko Tarnovo🇧🇬] An ancient city popular among backpackers

I went to Veliko Tarnovo in Bulgaria. This city, which was the capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire, is located in a hilly area with houses lined up along the slopes. The old town is particularly beautiful, and many backpackers like this city and stay an extra night. It takes 3.5 hours by bus from the capital Sofia, and costs about 15 euros (※The currency in Bulgaria is not the euro). Buses can sell out the day before, so I recommend making an online reservation early. I couldn't reserve a bus for the return trip, so I had to take the train back, which took 4.5 hours... lol The recommended food is chorba, which can be found all over Bulgaria. The chorba made with tripe had a strong flavor, but was too thick and went very well with bread, and was warm and delicious, seeping into your body.
