An awe-inspiring city, the water city of Venice

Let me jump in here—I must talk about Venice first. Originally, Venice wasn’t part of my travel plan. My spontaneous personality led me to add a bunch of unexpected and chaotic plans, making my entire trip to Italy feel rather random. But Venice, above all, touched me the most. I didn’t have high expectations initially. In fact, just a week before my trip, I saw a friend’s post saying Venice doesn’t require a long stay as it might get boring. However, after personally visiting Venice, I must say—it’s a place you absolutely have to visit. Although traveling from Mestre by train and then taking countless boat rides was exhausting, and navigating the maze-like streets of each island in Venice was challenging, I relied on my own footsteps, Google Maps, and the Citymapper app (a must-download for Venice) to find my way back. Otherwise, I’d end up at random docks where I couldn’t board a boat 🤡. But when I set foot on the colorful island of Burano, I stood in front of the buildings, overwhelmed with emotion. Gratitude filled my heart—thankful for my family’s support in letting me explore solo, thankful to myself for bringing me to such a beautiful place, and thankful for all the arrangements that led me here. 🗓️ Itinerary: Mestre - Venice Main Island - Murano - Burano - Venice Main Island - Mestre
