Swiss Diamond Hotel Lugano: A Stunning Lakeside Retreat at Lake Lugano

Located in the picturesque region of Lake Lugano in Switzerland, this expansive and irregularly shaped lake boasts crystal-clear blue waters. The best way to explore its beauty is to stay overnight by the lakeside. For this trip, we chose the Swiss Diamond Hotel Lugano, nestled in the tranquil southern shore of Vico Morcote, just a 20-minute drive from the city center. Swiss Diamond is a renowned five-star hotel in Switzerland, and its prime selling point is its location right on the front row of Lake Lugano. The lake-facing rooms offer breathtaking views of the serene lake and surrounding mountains, which are both stunning and soothing. The hotel’s design reflects Switzerland’s unique elegance, complemented by a beautiful outdoor pool and a poolside bar. The most basic Classic Mountain View Room, measuring 20 square meters, costs around 9,000 TWD per night with breakfast included. For a slightly higher price of 10,000 TWD per night, you can upgrade to a Superior Lake View Room, which is about 25 square meters. The extra 1,000 TWD is well worth it for the superior lake view, making the experience much more enjoyable. However, as with many long-established hotels, Swiss Diamond does have some drawbacks. The décor shows signs of aging, some facilities require maintenance, and the dining experience could be improved. These issues slightly detract from its status as a five-star hotel with a prime lakeside location.
