Patou Sai "Patou" (Patou) means "gate" and "Sai" (ໄຊ) comes from the Sanskrit word "Chaya" meaning "victory". ▪️ It is a monument in the heart of Vientiane, Laos. It was built between 1957 and 1968. ▪️ Decorated in Lan Xang art. ✅ No admission fee ຫໍພຣະແກ້ວ ▪️ Built in 1565, it enshrines the Emerald Buddha. (Emerald Buddha) 🔸The Emerald Buddha was enshrined at this temple for over 200 years until 1779 when the Siamese army invited the Emerald Buddha to Thonburi.
