Vietnam Trip: 5 Days, 5 Cities on a Budget of 9xxx

This was my first international trip, and I chose Vietnam because of its affordable prices, short flight duration, low cost of living, and the ability to travel to multiple cities without spending too much. When planning the trip and listing the cities we wanted to visit, my friends and I couldn’t decide which cities to include or exclude. So, we chose cities within the same region and decided to visit all of them instead. ✈️ Cities visited: Hoi An > Nha Trang > Da Lat > Mui Ne > Ho Chi Minh City ——- 🌞 Day 1 • Landed in Da Nang but took a Grab to Hoi An immediately. • Explored the old town of Hoi An, had a meal, took photos, and visited cafes. • In the evening, boarded a sleeper bus to Nha Trang. ***Day 1: Overnight on the sleeper bus 💤 ——- 🌞 Day 2 • Arrived in Nha Trang in the morning, stored luggage at the accommodation, and changed clothes to go out. • Visited Christ The King Cathedral. • Relaxed at ABC Nha Trang Beach. • Enjoyed a buffet at a nearby mall. • In the evening, went to Vinpearl Land. ***Day 2: Stayed overnight in Nha Trang 💤 ——- 🌞 Day 3 • Took a bus to Da Lat and stored luggage at the accommodation. • Had a meal and explored the city, taking photos. • Took a taxi to Garden Hydrangeas. • Strolled through the night market. ***Day 3: Stayed overnight in Da Lat 💤 ——- 🌞 Day 4 • Took a bus to Mui Ne. • Checked in at the accommodation. • Took a pre-arranged vehicle to visit the sand dunes. • Returned to have dinner at a restaurant near the accommodation. ***Day 4: Stayed overnight in Mui Ne 💤 ——- 🌞 Day 5 • Took a bus to Ho Chi Minh City. • Visited The Cafe Apartment. • Explored Notre Dame Cathedral. • Walked around the city and found a place to eat. • Headed to the airport to fly back to Thailand. ——- 📌 Budget = 9146 THB ✨ ✈️ Round-trip airfare = 2626 THB 🏨 Accommodation for 3 nights = 1594 THB (shared among 3 people) 🚌 Transportation = 1784 THB • Sleeper bus + Jeep Tour = 1021 THB (shared among 3 people) • Bus from Hoi An > Nha Trang = 298 THB • Bus from Nha Trang > Da Lat = 155 THB • Bus from Da Lat > Mui Ne = 155 THB • Bus from Mui Ne > Ho Chi Minh City = 155 THB 🚕 Grab rides for 5 days = 667 THB (shared among 3 people) 🎡 Vinpearl Land ticket (evening) = 471 THB 🛜 Roaming = 358 THB 🍔 Food expenses = 1646 THB ***Excludes shopping and souvenirs. ——- ⭐️ Notes • The trip was in August, and the weather was quite hot with occasional rain in some cities. Da Lat had pleasant, cool weather. • Flew with Air Asia, carrying only 7 kg of luggage without purchasing extra weight. • Food, accommodation, and Grab expenses were shared among 3 people. • Stayed on a sleeper bus for 1 night and in hostels for 3 nights. • Used Grab for city transportation throughout the trip. • Used cash for all expenses during the trip.
