Vinaros is a traditionally agricultural and industrial city and the northernmost town on the Costa del Sol.

Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region) Vinarós is located on a plain at the northern end of the province of Castellón, close to the border with the province of Tarragona. This port city is famous for its delicious shrimp, was once home to an important shipyard and has a long tradition in the canning industry. Currently, its commercial and fishing port has become a fairly important port in the coastal area, as well as a well-maintained beach and is equipped with a variety of facilities and services. The streets of this town have some outstanding examples of architecture, such as the Monastery of San Agusti (today the Municipal Auditorium of Huacílao Aiguilles de Isco), the Giner and Membrillera houses, and the Church-Fortress of Asuncion.
