Compared to Sanya's bustling and lively travel atmosphere, Wanning feels more like a tranquil earthly escape. It boasts long stretches of soft sandy beaches, well-equipped hotels, swaying coconut groves, and a coastline where waves dance🌊. Basking in the sun with a few drinks feels exceptionally relaxing. This time, I stayed at the Westin Resort in Shimei Bay for a holiday, and the layered ocean views from the sea-view rooms were truly impressive! From the room's balcony, the vast sea stretches endlessly. The first rays of morning sunlight shimmer on the water's surface. Sitting on the balcony lounge chair, feeling the gentle sea breeze, with an oversized bathtub placed right there—soaking while enjoying the ocean view is pure bliss. The signature white tea-scented toiletries also left a lasting impression. The king-sized bed was soft and spacious, and the furniture looked well-maintained and new. In the early morning or afternoon, curling up here with a book, sipping a warm coffee while gazing at the boundless sea, makes time feel slow and tender. The hotel's dining options are equally worth exploring: ✔️ The all-day dining restaurant offers an open environment with ocean views outside the window. The breakfast spread is diverse, featuring local specialties like Hainan noodles alongside Western-style bread, pastries, and coffee. The bright sunlight makes the sea as clear and sparkling as a blue lagoon. A whiskey sour🍸 followed by a Corona special—the refreshing taste pairs perfectly with Wanning’s nighttime sea breeze. Personally, I think the Westin's Chinese-themed restaurant is fantastic. Having tried several similar ones, I’ve never been disappointed! Ordered a few signature dishes, and the quality and flavor were consistently on point.
