Washington Cherry Blossoms | A stunning cherry blossom destination by the Tidal Basin

| A stunning cherry blossom destination by the Tidal Basin. I recently happened to go to Washington DC and checked in the cherry blossoms that were almost at their peak. I feel that the cherry blossoms in Washington are generally very photogenic. Large swathes of cherry trees are planted around the Tidal Basin (as shown in picture 18), with branches hanging into the lake like willows. The water under the cherry blossoms, with famous buildings of Washington in the distance, provides a lot of different choices and changes for the foreground, background, and composition of the picture, making photography very interesting! I chatted with a passing cyclist and learned that the cherry trees by the Tidal Basin were first planted in 1918, no wonder some of the cherry trees have such thick trunks, giving a sense of old trees. Additionally, due to global warming, the waters of the Tidal Basin sometimes overflow some of the cherry tree roots. Washington might raise the entire riverbank by about 5 meters, which could lead to the transplantation of some of the lakeside cherry trees, and it's uncertain whether the beautiful scene of cherry blossoms hanging into the lake will still be visible. In any case, see and cherish it while you can! Parking Info There are quite a few street parking spots on the west, east, and south sides of the Tidal Basin, priced at $2-3 per hour. Of course, during peak times, it might be hard to find a parking spot. Tips To the south of the Tidal Basin, there is an airport, and a large number of planes fly low along the Potomac River, about every 1-2 minutes. So this is a great spot for plane photography (as shown in picture 4). You can try shooting from the southwest side of the Tidal Basin by the Potomac River. 2 Besides the Tidal Basin, there are small patches of cherry blossoms in the Central Green and near Chinatown, offering pleasant surprises as you walk.
