A tranquil setting, just a stones throw from Liverpool

Just 15 minutes away from Liverpool, you come to the town of Crosby. It might not be on your radar when visiting the home of The Beatles or whilst cheering Liverpool FC on at Anfield, but here’s why it needs to be part of your itinerary. Crosby has a beautiful beach that is on the mouth of the Mersey estuary. Not only that, for more than 20 years, Crosby has been home to the Anthony Gormley art installation ‘Another Place’. These are life size sculptures - modelled on the artist’s body! Crosby is particularly impressive on a clear day to watch the sunset. During the summer months, an outdoor food market has been set up called The Bus Yard. Head here for some food and drinks first, before heading over to the beach to catch the impressive sunset. To watch as the sun dips below the horizon is a truly spectacular sight.
