Wenzhou Jiangxin Island is known as the "Island of Poetry", "Islet of Buddha" and "Ancient Navigation Beacon of the World"

As one of the four largest isolated islands in China, Wenzhou Jiangxin Island is like a magnificent bonsai lying in the Oujiang River. It overlooks Wenzhou City in the south and Oubei Town in Yongjia in the north. It has the "Island of Poetry" and "Island of Buddha". It is known as the "World's Ancient Navigation Beacon". The water is long, long, long and long, and it is famous for its repeated couplets. The east and west towers of Jiangxin Island were built in AD 869 and AD 969 respectively, and have become the most eye-catching ancient navigation beacons in the world on the Oujiang River. Jiangxin Island also has many scenic spots such as Song Wenxin Guogong Temple, Chengxian Pavilion, Haoran Tower, Zhangbaorong, and Gongqing Lake. Jiangxin Island has been upgraded and renovated in recent years, and many cultural and historical elements have been injected into it. For example, the former site of the British Consulate in Wenzhou is now the Wenzhou Modern Port History Museum. Through restoration, people can see the glory of Wenzhou as a foreign trading port.
