Back from Wenzhou with the kids, here's the honest truth! Inspired by a song to visit a city

Hey everyone 👋, is there a song that, like a gentle spring breeze carrying the tidal surge of the Oujiang River and the beauty of the mountains and rivers, ignites your yearning for a famous coastal city in southeastern China? It was the song "Wenzhou Love" for me. "Yandang's wondrous peaks hide in the clouds, Nanxi River's waters flow gracefully, poetic sentiments drift on Jiangxin Island, Wenzhou's stories mark the passage of time, people come and go on Wuma Street, the aroma of delicious fish ball soup wafts through the air, falling in love with Wenzhou's beautiful scenery, captivated and reluctant to leave." These picturesque and charming lyrics vividly showcase Wenzhou's unique charm, making me eager to embrace this city. In March, filled with anticipation, I embarked on a journey to Wenzhou. Check out my travel guide! 🚗Transportation Guide ✈️Airplane: After arriving at Wenzhou Longwan International Airport, the airport bus provides economical access to various stops in the city. A taxi to the city center takes about 30 minutes, conveniently starting your Oujiang exploration. 🚄High-speed Rail: Wenzhou South Railway Station has numerous train services and well-developed surrounding facilities. Buses and taxis are readily available, providing seamless connections to various attractions. City buses generally operate from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. You can use Alipay or WeChat's public transport QR codes for payment. Check the bus app for real-time information before traveling. 🗺Recommended Itinerary Day1️⃣: Yandang Mountain - Lingfeng Night View (Explore the various peaks of Yandang Mountain during the day, admiring the unique mountain scenery, and enjoy the Lingfeng night view in the evening, experiencing the wonders of nature) Day2️⃣: Nanxi River - Shiwei Rock - Lishui Ancient Street (Take a boat trip on Nanxi River in the morning to appreciate the landscape, explore Shiwei Rock in the afternoon, and stroll along Lishui Ancient Street in the evening, savoring Yongjia wheat cakes and other delicacies) Day3️⃣: Jiangxin Island - Wuma Street - Wenzhou Museum (Visit Jiangxin Island in the morning to explore historical sites, go shopping and enjoy food on Wuma Street in the afternoon, and visit the Wenzhou Museum in the evening to learn about the city's culture) 🌟Must-See Attractions 📍Yandang Mountain Lingfeng: During the day, the peaks of Lingfeng take on various forms, with the Clasped Palms Peak resembling hands clasped together and the Guanyin Cave hidden among the cliffs. At night, under the moonlight, the peaks transform into various fantastical shapes, with the Husband and Wife Peaks appearing like an embracing couple. The ever-changing scenery is truly amazing📷 📍Nanxi River: The river water is crystal clear. Take a bamboo raft downstream, and you'll see rolling hills, lush forests, and ancient villages scattered along the banks, like a paradise. Along the way, you can experience the pleasure of "the raft moving on the water, and you drifting in a painting." 📌Practical Tips 1. Yandang Mountain Scenic Area is quite large. You can purchase a combined ticket covering multiple attractions. The Lingfeng night view requires a separate ticket. It is recommended to check the opening hours of each attraction in advance and wear comfortable shoes. 2. Nanxi River bamboo rafting is charged by section. Book in advance and pay attention to safety during the trip. There are hiking trails within the Shiwei Rock Scenic Area with beautiful scenery. Lishui Ancient Street is free, with ancient charm and abundant food options. Pay attention to food hygiene. 3. Round-trip ferry tickets to Jiangxin Island are included in the entrance fee. There are many historical sites on the island, and audio guides are available for rent. Wuma Street is free, with concentrated shopping and dining options. The Wenzhou Museum is free but requires advance booking. The magnificence of Yandang Mountain, the gentleness of Nanxi River, and the delicious cuisine all captivated me. Humming "Wenzhou Love" and strolling through the streets of Wenzhou, I truly felt the city's charm. Everything here is like an endless poem of Oujiang, a never-ending painting of southeastern China.
