Magnolias bloom amidst the red walls and grey tiles at Changchun Temple

Changchun Temple. Walking through the long corridors and passing through the round doorways, one looks up to see the swaying magnolia flowers, as if narrating a graceful symphony. With each step, we experience a magical transformation, as the same tree reveals its enchanting beauty from different angles. Every stride we take immerses us in a kind of enlightenment. This is the unique charm of the magnolia tree within Changchun Temple. Similarly, the crabapple blossoms against the backdrop of the palace's red walls and the plum blossoms outside the temple's Zen rooms are also favored by many. The ancient architecture's accumulated depth and solidity endow the flowers with profound significance; they are no longer just ordinary blooms. Shadows of flowers dance here and drift there, even as the day hurries by. In the crevices of the walls, wild ferns break through the soil unnoticed, and moss quietly spreads at the base of the walls. The names of the believers who donated to the construction of the palaces are engraved on the stone steles, and the friction of time has made the inscriptions increasingly blurred. However, people will pass down those memorable things from generation to generation. At this moment, I am reminded of a poem about magnolias: 'Transplanted from the paradise garden, adept at withstanding the cold, this flower is best appreciated amidst snow on a high platform, as fairy maidens in feathered garments frolic, wearing crowns of jade from Huayang.'
