Over 3,200 acres of wild cherry blossoms are blooming competitively in Qingliangzhai, Wuhan

Qingliangzhai in the northern mountainous area of Wuhan, as one of the leading cherry blossom viewing spots in the Wuhan area and even nationwide, boasts a sea of flowers when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, which is as if the dawn and dusk have reddened half of the sky. The Chinese cherry blossoms in Qingliangzhai belong to the wild Chinese cherry blossoms native to Hubei. They mainly consist of wild cherry and mountain cherry varieties, primarily growing on sunny slopes above 600 meters in altitude. The area spans over 3,200 acres with more than 110,000 trees, ranking at the top in Wuhan and even nationwide. To date, more than six varieties have been discovered, including cliff cherry, single-tooth cherry, tail-leaf cherry, bristly cherry, southwestern cherry, and cherry. The blossoms open in three phases: early, middle, and late. The early cherry blooms in early March, the middle cherry in late March, and the late cherry in early April, with the flowering period averaging about a month. Recently, the Chinese cherry blossoms in the scenic area are in full bloom, with the mountains covered in splendid blossoms, intoxicating fragrance, flying petals like snow, and a magnificent tapestry of scenery, which is spectacular and has attracted many visitors to check in.
