Wuhan East Lake Lis Residence Huating Hotel

🔶Caught during Wuhan's cherry blossom season + marathon, hotel prices across Wuhan skyrocketed! Last February I stayed at the Xiangfan Marriott for ¥710 per night, but now it's shot up to ¥1,800! No thanks! The Hyatt in Optics Valley that normally costs around ¥600 has jumped to ¥1,200, so I chose this place for ¥684 per night. 🔶Room type: Elegant Double Room, the most basic room type, about 20 square meters. Cleanliness: Generally good with no odors. Possibly because it was recently renovated, there weren't many signs of use. 🔶Amenities: Smart toilet, unrecognizable toiletry brands, and skin lotion with a very sharp fragrance; the bedding was comfortable 😍, pillows felt better than Atour's. 🔶Service: When I tried to check in at 1 PM, they said no rooms were available and I'd need to wait an hour, but fortunately they managed to arrange a room quickly; A guy next door asked for four extra bottles of water, and the staff who delivered them said he'd have to pay if he wanted more (maximum 8 bottles). 🔶Dining: Grateful that the hotel included breakfast for one person! This was the most outstanding point 💫. The waffles were freshly made in the morning, so there was a lovely baking aroma when entering. The restaurant was quiet and had everything you'd expect ✨, including hot dry noodles and three-delicacy tofu skin. The lady making pancakes said they were freshly made and encouraged me to try them - they were pretty good. Not many fruit varieties but they looked fresh. 🔶Summary: This room type probably normally costs ¥400+, and at that price with breakfast included, I think it's reasonable. Given my personal spending level: at ¥684 per night, I can only say it offers slightly better value than the Marriott at ¥1,800 per night!
