Daxingshan Temple, the ancestral temple of Tantric Buddhism, one of the Eight Buddhist Sects, was a royal temple of the Sui and Tang dynasties and one of the three major Buddhist scripture translation sites in the imperial capital Chang'an. It is an ancient temple with Chinese and foreign influence. It was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit in Shaanxi Province in 1956.
