Xi'an terracotta army, a cultural wonder.

When we read that this tourist attraction allowed around 13 000 people per hour, and 63 000 a day, we got a bit anxious. When we got there and so the queue, our anxiety grew a bit more. When we saw the crowd in the 1st pit, we just wanted to turn around, but we're glad we didn't. It's such a marvelous sight. The details on each and every one of the statues are impressive to look at. You can admire the hard work that is put into restoration, and it's good to see that the government takes good care of cultural assets. We unfortunately didn't get an audio guide as we were running late, so we had to read a bit about it. Luckily for us, there's plenty of space in the park to do so. It would have been amazing to witness how excavation and restoration are made. Anyways, we definitely enjoyed our visit here and hope the staff keeps on with the good work. Tips for travellers and how to visit: ⭐ book tickets through the WeChat mini program ⭐ to get there from Xi'an, take the metro to Huaqing pool, from there, exit and take the bus 613 or 602 ⭐ bring lots of water (once you're inside, you won't be able to buy drinks at the vending machine as they only accept Chinese credit cards) ⭐ arrive at least 30 minutes prior the end of your entry time as it can get crowded ⭐ enjoy your trip despite the crowds #terracottaarmy
