Impeccable jade jewel exhibition

#freemuseumdays When I visited the Qujiang Museum of Fine Arts in Xi’an, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect—but it turned out to be one of the most peaceful and beautifully curated places I’ve been to in the city. It’s tucked inside the Westin Hotel near the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, and the moment I stepped in, it felt calm, cool, and almost meditative. The museum has this stunning mural gallery that walks you through the evolution of Chinese wall painting—from ancient cave art to imperial frescoes. The lighting, the layout, the quiet… it all draws you in. I also loved seeing the delicate jade pieces and embroidered silk robes—they’re displayed in a way that feels spacious and respectful. It was a free museum day for me (yeah~~) coz I was staying in Westin and guests in Westin had free access to the museum—otherwise the admission was 60 RMB.
