The following is my experience sharing after checking in, I hope it can provide a reference for your journey. 1. Hotel Location and Transportation Waldorf Astoria Xiamen is located in the heart of the city center of Xiamen Island, with convenient transportation. It is very close to Xiamen Station, and can be reached by taxi in a few minutes. It takes only about 18 minutes to drive to the airport. There is Lianhua Road Station of Metro Line 1 near the hotel, making travel convenient. Lotus Park is downstairs, the Philippine Consulate is opposite, and there are shopping malls and famous brand stores nearby, so the living facilities are complete. 2. Check-in Experience Check-in The front desk service was very friendly and the check-in process was efficient and smooth. The design style of the hotel lobby combines the style of European manors and the characteristics of Nanyang architecture, with carved marble floors, spiral white staircases, and arched ceilings, every detail exudes luxury. Rooms I stayed in a deluxe room, which is 69 square meters in size, with a wide view and plenty of light. The room design has two styles, one is a refreshing water green color, inspired by the coastal atmosphere; the other is a rich tea brown color, which incorporates the local tea culture. The room I live in is green. I can smell a faint fragrance as soon as I enter the door. The overall atmosphere is very comfortable. The room is fully equipped with a Toto high-end smart toilet, double sinks, a large round bathtub, and Ferragamo toiletries. The minibar is beautifully designed, and the artwork on the headboard background wall is inspired by the feathers of egrets in Xiamen, which is very local. In addition, the room is prepared with welcome fruits, soda water and chocolates, and every detail is thoughtful. 3. Dining Experience breakfast Breakfast is a combination of ordering and buffet, with rich dishes and warm service. I personally prefer the beef noodles here, the soft-boiled egg in it is very delicious. Chinese Restaurant The Chinese restaurant Xiancheng specializes in Fujian cuisine, with exquisite ingredients and delicate dishes. I recommend the red crab glutinous rice. The crab roe and crab oil seep into the glutinous rice, making it extremely fresh and fragrant. The seafood soup is also very good. The shellfish soup cooked in plain water retains the freshness of the ingredients to the greatest extent. Other Restaurants The hotel also has the pink-colored Brasserie ONE all-day dining restaurant, which serves high-quality beef and seafood. Yi Ting is a social space that combines a bar and afternoon tea. The outdoor garden terrace is perfect for enjoying afternoon tea. IV. Sports and Recreation Facilities The hotel's gym is elegantly decorated and equipped with advanced fitness equipment and a dedicated rest area. The 25-meter-long outdoor heated swimming pool is a great place to take photos and check in, and it is also equipped with a sauna and steam room. V. Other highlights Artistic atmosphere Artworks can be seen everywhere in the Waldorf Astoria Xiamen, making you feel like you are in an art gallery. The hotel’s Waldorf clock, Peacock Gallery and red velvet cake are also iconic elements of the Waldorf Astoria brand. Service Details The hotel staff is very considerate and there are little surprises every time you return to the room. For example, since I wear contact lenses, I got a steam eye mask. This thoughtful detail makes people feel very comfortable. VI. Conclusion The Waldorf Astoria Xiamen is top-notch in terms of design, service and dining experience.
