A must-read for subway riders! Your quick guide to Foxtail Mountain Cherry Blossom Valley!

The Easy Route Take Metro Line 2 to Cruise Center Station, Exit 6. You'll arrive at the eastern end of the Dongdu Cruise Plaza, the starting point of the trail. Follow the crowd, and you'll reach Cherry Blossom Valley in 30 mins! Don't want to walk? Take a taxi directly to the Meteorological Observatory, and you'll be greeted by a breathtaking view of cherry blossoms! The Budget-Friendly Bus Route ▫️ Take a bus to Dongdu Foxtail Mountain Station (accessible by over 20 routes, including 4, 22, 26, and 43). A 10-min climb up the fitness trail will take you to your destination! We recommend taking the subway to Jianye Road Station, Exit 1A. Walk through the south gate of Foxtail Mountain, and you'll be able to capture stunning views of Yundang Lake along the way. ⚠️ Warning Drivers can navigate to the Foxtail Mountain South Gate parking lot, but parking spaces are extremely limited! We recommend arriving before 9am. The parking fee is CNY 5 for the first hour. Driving to Cherry Blossom Valley is not recommended! Vehicle access to the park is restricted, and you may have to turn back. Bonus Sightseeing Spots The trail starting from Cruise Plaza is incredibly scenic! Enjoy the ocean views, bougainvillea, and the spiral bridge—perfect for taking photos along the way. For your return trip, we recommend taking the west side trail down from Cherry Blossom Valley. It's a 20-min walk to Seaside Park, where you can enjoy the sunset. Tips ✔️ Wear sneakers! The stone path can be very slippery (don't ask how I know). ✔️ From 9–11am, mist will be sprayed in Cherry Blossom Valley, creating a magical atmosphere for photos. ✔️ The blooming season lasts until early April, so hurry up! Don't miss out—you'll have to wait another year.
