I finally found the coolest hotel in Xiangyang

Xiangyang InterContinental Hotel Experience: A Blend of Ancient Charm and Modern Comfort, with a Few Minor Drawbacks 🏘️Room Type/Layout I stayed in a twin room with an outdoor courtyard. The layout was well-designed, and the spacious windows and softly lit bathtub created an elegant atmosphere. The interior design was unique, and I enjoyed relaxing moments both by the window and in the courtyard. However, the newly renovated room had a slight odor, and for aesthetic reasons, there were no screens on the windows or doors. Opening the windows invited mosquitoes and other insects, while keeping them closed made the room stuffy. Even with an air purifier, the effect wasn't very noticeable. 🛌Amenities/Facilities The hotel's facilities were quite comprehensive. The pool was kept at a constant temperature between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius, which was perfect for those sensitive to cold. The hotel's internal gardens were stunning, with five gray-tiled, white-walled Chinese-style buildings connected by courtyards, complete with small bridges, flowing water, flowers, trees, and pavilions, creating a perfect vacation ambiance. A gym, buffet restaurant, and other facilities were also available. The buffet dinner offered a wide variety of sashimi, sushi, and seafood, as well as French steaks, pork rib soup, and other delicacies. 🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness The soundproofing was excellent; I could barely hear any noise from outside, ensuring a peaceful rest. The cleanliness was also satisfactory, with the room and public areas kept spotless. 💗Other Tips - Location and Transportation: It's a one-and-a-half-hour high-speed train ride from Hankou Station to Xiangyang East Station, followed by a 20-minute taxi ride to the hotel. The hotel is about a 15-minute taxi ride from Xiangyang Tang City and about 40 minutes from Gulongzhong Scenic Area. Transportation is convenient, and there are plenty of nearby attractions. - Service Details: Returning to my room, I found the bed made, the bedside lamp on, and the water, cups, and slippers neatly arranged, giving me a warm feeling of being cared for. - Nearby Activities: The hotel's internal gardens are beautiful, with pavilions and towers, perfect for a relaxing stroll. You can also visit Xijiachi Pool to admire the reflections of the hexagonal pavilion, maple trees, and parasol trees in the water, or visit Guangde Temple to bask in the sunlight filtering through the ginkgo leaves. Travel doesn't have to follow others' footsteps; follow your heart and enjoy your own beautiful moments. The Xiangyang InterContinental Hotel has many highlights in terms of scenery, facilities, and service, but the smell of new renovations and the lack of screens on the windows and doors are minor drawbacks. If you don't mind these small issues, this is a great place to relax and enjoy a leisurely vacation.
