Xichang, a place you'll want to visit again and again

Hey everyone, just got back from a trip to Xichang, and the afterglow is still strong! The wetlands outside Qionghai Hotel are absolutely amazing to explore. I must share my travel guide with you all. 💫 Itinerary Planning 1⃣️ • One-day itinerary: Start your morning at Qionghai Hotel, first head to Bird Island Wetland to catch the sunrise (Bird Island is the perfect spot for sunrise viewing). 🍃 Then take a leisurely stroll through Bird Island Wetland, enjoying the unique themes of each area. For lunch, try local Xichang specialties like Tuotuo meat or drunken shrimp at nearby restaurants. In the afternoon, visit Dream Water Town Wetland for a boat tour along the scenic waterways. 🌄 End your day at Xibo Crane Shadow Wetland, watching the sunset under the banyan trees. 2⃣️ • Two-day itinerary: On the first day, check in at your hotel in the morning (I personally recommend Moon Sea Wetland Hotel, which is close to Qionghai). After settling in, explore Bird Island Wetland and have lunch nearby. 🍃 In the afternoon, visit Moonlight Romance Town to soak in the laid-back local vibe and take a boat ride on Qionghai from the pier. 🌃 Enjoy dinner in the town, trying local BBQ and other delicacies. On the second day, wake up early and head to Dream Water Town Wetland for a refreshing walk along the ecological forest trail. After lunch, make your way to Xibo Crane Shadow Wetland and spend the day there until evening. Before leaving, explore the city center for some local souvenirs. 🥛 Don’t forget to try Liangshan Snow yogurt—it’s delicious and makes for great photos too. Highly recommended!
