Visit the Revolutionary Museum and inherit the spirit of the Red Army's Long March To get closer to the revolutionary history of the Red 25th Army and inherit the spirit of the great Long March, the Pioneer Spirit Inheritance Team of the School of History of Anhui University visited the Revolutionary Museum of the Capital of the Eyuwan Soviet Area. The Revolutionary Museum of the Capital of the Eyuwan Soviet Area is located in Xinyang City, Henan Province. It was built in 1984 and has been open to the public for free since 2008. It receives more than 600,000 visitors every year and has been rated as a national first-class museum by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage. The museum is divided into three parts: basic display, thematic display, and temporary exhibition. The basic display is divided into four parts: "Rise up and Fight", "Unprecedented Development", "Reorganize the Red Army", and "The Red Flag Will Never Fall". The thematic display is divided into two parts: "The Cradle of Generals" and "Today's Xin County". Entering the museum, the entrance with the architectural shape of the word "thousand" comes into view, surrounded by the statues of a hundred generals and the map of the Eyuwan Red Base, vividly showing the heroic struggle and sacrifice of the Dabie Mountain soldiers and civilians in the revolution. The team members focused on visiting the fourth part of the museum. This unit introduces the historical process and important deeds of the Long March of the Red 25th Army in chronological order, from the encirclement and suppression faced by the Red 25th Army, to the decision of the Long March at the Huashanzhai Conference, to the departure of the Red 25th Army from Hejia Chong, to the Red 25th Army's repeated defeat of the enemy's pursuit and encirclement, and finally to the Shaanbei area. The Red 25th Army was the first of the four Long March troops to arrive in Shaanbei, the only one of the Long March troops to increase in number, the only one of the Long March troops to establish a base, and the only one of the Long March troops to develop local guerrilla divisions.
