Remember! 🚗 It takes only a two-hour drive from Beijing to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and reach a hidden natural paradise—Xinglong Jiulongtan Natural Scenic Area. It is located south of Xinglong County, at the intersection of Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and Chengde, just 150 kilometers from Beijing and 130 kilometers from Chengde, making it an ideal choice for a weekend getaway. 🏞 This is a secluded valley embraced by two mountains, with babbling streams, cascading waterfalls, lush green trees, and clear green pools. Walking through it feels like being in Jiuzhaigou near Beijing, and sometimes it gives the illusion of Zhangjiajie's Golden Whip Stream. 🌳 As a 3A-level scenic spot, Jiulongtan maintains a relatively primitive appearance with moderate development. I didn't have high expectations for this place initially, but it gave me a pleasant surprise. 🚶🏻‍♂ If you choose the shorter route within the scenic area, you can easily complete a round trip in about 3 hours. 🎫 The ticket prices are affordable: 45 yuan for adults, half-price for seniors aged 60 to 69, children, and students, and free admission for seniors over 70. 👍🏻 Why not take an impromptu trip on the weekend: first visit Qingsongling Saibei Jiangnan Town, then explore Jiulongtan. In the evening, you can choose to stay at a local inn or homestay in the town. ✅ This place is very suitable for family outings, where both the elderly and children can easily enjoy themselves. ✅ A great place to escape the summer heat and enjoy the coolness of nature. ✅ Enjoy activities like stream tracing, hiking, and playing in the water. Don't forget to bring a water gun to make water play more fun. The name Jiulongtan comes from the nine sons of the dragon, referring to nine pools of varying sizes: 1. Eldest son Qiuniu 2. Second son Yazi 3. Third son Chaofeng 4. Fourth son Pulao 5. Fifth son Suanni 6. Sixth son Baxia—this is the essence of the scenic area, the largest green pool. 7. Seventh son Bian 8. Eighth son Fuxi 9.
