Back from Xinjiang, really recommend going in June because...||I've always wanted to travel to Xinjiang, and my holiday finally made this little dream come true~ So happy this Xinjiang trip didn't have any 💣 moments, I'm very satisfied with this itinerary! It was also my first time traveling somewhere so far, and I had all sorts of worries at first. There are many pitfalls in Xinjiang tourism, and I was afraid of being ripped off. But fortunately, the experience turned out great in the end, and the money was well spent. 💰 About food and accommodation: I joined a small group tour, costing over 4k per person, which is quite reasonable. I didn't trust those super cheap options as I value quality more when traveling on my own. The accommodations were all hotels 🏨, with clean and tidy rooms. Breakfast was included, but we had to handle lunch and dinner ourselves. The portion sizes in Xinjiang are huge! We couldn't even finish two dishes between two people. The total food expense was just over 700, which was quite cost-effective. About transportation choices: I pondered this for a long time but still think small group tours are better - fewer people means more comfort and better service. Though more expensive, when traveling with my boyfriend, having a good experience is what matters most. A colleague who'd been there recommended a local agency, and I'm so glad we chose them - had a wonderful and satisfying trip. 🚗 About the vehicle: We rode in a 1+1 luxury car. I chose this because I get carsick easily and wanted to be comfortable. This vehicle has individual window seats for everyone, which really helps with motion sickness. Plus, our guide was an excellent driver! The space inside was spacious enough to stretch out and even lie down. After each activity, we'd just sleep soundly in the car haha. So lucky this Xinjiang trip had no pitfalls - our guide drove smoothly and provided great service. Before departure, I was quite nervous as it was my first long trip with my boyfriend, afraid we wouldn't enjoy it or that the money wouldn't be well spent. But it turned out to be a very satisfying journey. The scenery in Xinjiang is breathtakingly beautiful - no filters needed at all!
