Nalati Grassland truly exceeded expectations! It's incredibly beautiful!! Nalati Grassland Self-Driving Tour Guide Travel Route (Personal Experience in 2024) There are 3 routes within the Nalati scenic area. If you're driving, I highly recommend completing all 3 routes. Set aside a full day, ideally 6-7 hours! 1. Aerial Grassland (most crowded but a must-see, allow 4 hours): After entering through the west gate, navigate directly to Nomadic Home. Along the way, you'll pass winding mountain roads, grasslands, snow-capped mountains, and fir forests. I believe the Aerial Grassland route encompasses the characteristics of all three routes, offering a rich tapestry of landscapes. If time is limited, you can focus solely on this route. For horseback riding, I recommend the area near Nomadic Home, 80 yuan/hour. 2. River Valley Grassland (less crowded, 1-2 hours): This is a vast, flat grassland, but the scenery is relatively monotonous. After returning from Aerial Grassland, navigate directly to Yitigense. Passing through around 6-7 pm, you'll encounter large herds of cattle, sheep, and horses, a truly magnificent sight. 3. Panlong Valley Road (less crowded, 1-2 hours): The scenery is stunning, and you can watch the sunset! I suggest entering from Yitigense around 8 pm and taking the western section of Panlong Valley Road. The entire route is 10km, a one-way, narrow road winding through fir forests. The changing scenery of forests, hillsides, and grazing livestock is captivating. Near the exit, you'll find a yellow tree on a hillside, offering panoramic views, perfect photo opportunities, and an ideal sunset viewing spot. Highly recommended! Only 8 minutes' drive from the scenic area At the homestay, you can enjoy tea and flowers while taking in the beautiful natural scenery. It's so relaxing, and the photo opportunities are amazing. At night, you can see a sky full of stars from the courtyard. The host is warm and welcoming! They'll also enthusiastically recommend local, authentic restaurants that are both delicious and affordable. I sincerely recommend this to anyone planning a trip to Nalati!!
