Hottarakashi Onsen, a secret hot spring in Yamanashi Hottarakashi Onsen is famous among locals but not so well known among tourists. Contrary to its name, Hottarakashi Onsen is so beautiful and pleasant that no one can leave it alone. If you go for a bath early in the morning, you can see the sunrise, during the day you can see the townscape spreading out before your eyes and Mt. Fuji towering right in front of you, in the evening you can see the sunset, and at night you can see the night view of the city lit up. By the way, there are many villas scattered in the forest around this hot spring, so if you stay in one of them, you can experience both Mt. Fuji from below and from high up, which is a great deal. In addition, this is surprisingly unknown, but if you go a little into the forest and wait for the sun to set, you can experience the way the light enters, which sometimes makes you think something mysterious is happening. At that moment, the wind blows through the forest, making it rustle, but the birds and monkeys among the trees are quiet as if welcoming the returning lord of the forest. I fall into a dreamlike state, as if watching Princess Mononoke. At such times, I don't feel anything in my head, I just empty my mind, my eyes are captivated by the scenery that spreads out before me, and I press the shutter.
