Shwedagon Pagoda, Yangon, Myanmar - A beacon in the hearts of the Burmese

After entering, you can walk clockwise around the pagoda. You will see many worshippers kneeling in the small pagodas around the main pagoda, eyes closed, chanting Buddhist scriptures, and praying sincerely. There are also some people who are just here to hang out. While we usually go to cafes to chat and hang out, they come to the temple to chant, meditate, and chat. Putting aside the issue of circumcision, this place is truly beautiful. I stayed here for a whole day and still didn't want to leave... ⚠️ When visiting, you must cover your knees and shoulders. We recommend wearing long sleeves and pants. If you don't have any, you can use the free ones provided by the scenic area. ⚠️ You must take off your shoes and go barefoot to enter. There is a place to store your shoes at the entrance. You will be given a bottle of water and a wet wipe (to wipe your feet). ⚠️ Tickets are valid for one day.
