Nowadays, the top choice for hotels in Yangzhou is still the Yangzhou Guest House!

After extensive research for my Yangzhou trip, I ultimately chose the Mountain View Room in Building 8 of Yangzhou Guest House. The staff showed us both the Mountain View and Water View rooms—personally, I think the Mountain View is more picturesque 🤔. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a lush, eye-soothing panorama 🥺. The room features a bathtub, Bvlgari toiletries, a Dyson hairdryer, and a fridge stocked with four complimentary drinks (soda water, Budweiser, cola, and lotus root juice). On the first day, we received two Haagen-Dazs ice creams, fruits, snacks, and four Yangda yogurts (so delicious!). In the evening, they provided steam eye masks, cookies (not great), and drinks. The only downside was the lack of a full-length mirror—big struggle 🆘. Building 8 houses both Mountain Restaurant and Water Restaurant. We dined at Mountain Restaurant, and the food was excellent overall, with great service too 👍🏻. Next door is Quyuan Teahouse—perfect for morning tea if you can wake up early (I couldn’t 😂). The front desk offers fish and swan feed. You can feed fish and ducks opposite Building 8, and swans and ducks near Building 11. The Guest House is massive, with stunning scenery at every turn—it’s practically a sightseeing spot itself. Every photo turns out beautiful… Building 18 is newly built, with modern rooms and a small courtyard on the first floor. Out front, there are Snoopy-themed bikes available for rent to tour the grounds ✌️.
