Hyosuji Shrine

Both the tower gate and the worship hall are wing towers, making this a magnificent and strict shrine. It was built in the Nara period, and in the Engishiki, the deity enshrined is Okuninushi-no-Mikoto, but it seems that 36 nearby shrines are included in the joint monument from the Meiji and Taisho periods. In front of the torii gate, a stream separates the shrine from the secular world, and the torii gate, tower gate, and worship hall are lined up in a straight line along the approach, and the beauty of the wing towers is highlighted by the shape of the towers. Once you pass through the tower gate, the trees of the forest add to the tranquility and strictness. However, the stiffness is softened by the turtle and ground cherries, which are the family crests of the temizuya. The worship hall is also magnificent, and the atmosphere of the minister guarding it beside the wing tower is good. The main hall is in the Shinmei-style Nagare-zukuri style.
