[ Temple with a view of the sea, Yeosu Hyangil-am ] Those looking for an outdoor place in Yeosu, take note! Today's place to introduce is Yeosu Hyangil-am. Hyangil-am is a charming place that many people choose as the most wanted travel destination in Yeosu. Hyangil-am is named because it faces the sun. It was founded by Wonhyo Daesa in the 8th year of Queen Seondeok of Silla. Hyangil-am is one of the four major Guanyin prayer temples in Korea. Because it is a temple located in a high place, you can see the Yeosu sea at a glance. 😊 It is also famous as a sunrise spot. 🧡 After purchasing a ticket at the ticket booth and going up, it is divided into stairs and a flat road. The stairs take 10 minutes and the flat road takes about 15 minutes : ) I went up the stairs, but it was a little difficult. If you are with young children or have a disability, be sure to go to the flat road. ✅ Tip However, if you want to take a picture with the Buddha statue in my picture, you should use the stairs! Hyangil-am is a place I always go to whenever I go to Yeosu. The road to Hyangil-am itself is a forest bathing course, so it is very healing. When you reach the Daeungjeon at the top of Hyangil-am, the view is so amazing that your mouth drops open every time you see it.
