Hongcun is exactly the life I yearn for.

Ink Painting Hongcun Green mountains and black tiles, every step is like walking into a painting. People say that Hongcun is too commercialized and the tickets are expensive, but I think it's really beautiful to walk with your loved one in the early morning when there are few people, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and observe the lives of the villagers. We drove here with good friends after work on Friday. It took about 5 hours from Shanghai to Hongcun. A married couple plus a couple in love, the journey was super lively and fun. We stayed in the scenic area for one night. We got up early in the morning and saw the morning light shining on the white walls and gray tiles, and the reflection in the water was also sparkling. It was super beautiful. We strolled around Nanhu Lake, went back to have breakfast, and then took a nap. When we woke up again, it was already noon. Of course, the girls had to put on beautiful makeup, while the men sat in the courtyard playing games. For lunch, we tried authentic Huizhou cuisine. The stinky mandarin fish was a bit salty, the ribs were super soft and glutinous, it was my first time trying stone fungus, and the chicken soup had a layer of oil floating on it. Overall, it was pretty good, but I prefer the "improved" "Huizhou cuisine" here in Shanghai. Hahaha. In the afternoon, we strolled around Yuezhao leisurely. There are many cultural and creative shops, and the girls couldn't help but stop at every store. As people from Shanghai, we certainly wouldn't miss coffee, so we sat in a popular coffee shop for a while. Finally, we walked to the big trees at the entrance of the village. The two century-old trees are very impressive in person. Weekends should be spent in places like this~ experiencing nature and life~
