Back to the Embrace of Mother Yangtze River (57) Xiao Mansion Hengjiang Town is located at the junction of Sichuan and Yunnan provinces, at the southern end of Xuzhou District, 42 kilometers from Yibin City, the first city along the Yangtze River, and 4 kilometers from Shuifu County in Yunnan Province. It is a town with a rich historical and cultural heritage, an important material distribution center, and a famous commercial town. Since ancient times, Hengjiang Town has been a part of the Southwest Silk Road—Qin's Five-foot Road, Han's Bode Road, and Sui-Tang's Shimen Road. During the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, Hengjiang became a famous commercial town in southern Sichuan. There is still a 700-meter-long section of the "Liangtingzi Ancient Road" built with stone slabs along the road from Yibin to Hengjiang.
