A three-story turret built in 1921 with a pseudo-Western structure of white plaster walls and cherry-colored wooden walls 🏠✨✨ The building was built in the Taisho period as the Shigo Village Office, and is a two-story half-timbered wooden structure that is common in public buildings of that period. The entrance hall with a magnificent carriageway and the imposing three-story watchtower were exceptional for a village office at the time, and were completed with a large donation from the financial leader Ito Denshichi (then president of Toyobo), who was born in the village. It currently displays historical and folk materials as a local history museum.
