Favorite hotel in the UK｜No. 1 York|||[Cute] York meets all my expectations of a small British town. Number One York has also become the No.1 hotel in my mind during this trip to the UK. It feels like living in an English fairy tale cottage and being a classical aristocrat in a movie. 🚗Transportation: Located in the heart of York, it is about a 15-minute walk from York Railway Station and about a 10-minute walk to tourist attractions such as York Minster and Butcher Street. 🏠Room: I booked a large room, but was lucky enough to be upgraded to a large suite! The staff will help you put your luggage in the room in advance. The room card is an old metal key (which can be left at the front desk for safekeeping when you go out). When you check in, the front desk lady will accompany you upstairs for a room tour. The suite has its own living room, bedroom, dressing room and large shower room. It has wooden floors, vintage furniture, linen-textured soft furnishings and warm lighting, giving it a cozy home feel. The facilities are complete. The living room and bedroom are heated and equipped with a large bathtub. After a rainy night, you can take a hot bath and lie on the soft bed with curtains, and all the fatigue from a day's travel will disappear. In the small house on the living room table there are glass bottles of mineral water, milk, a kettle, a coffee machine and various coffee and tea bags. There is also a black film camera and a radio in the room. You can pick up the films on the first floor. I took the soundtrack of "Frozen 2". It was so wonderful to listen to the melodious music on a quiet night. 💗Features: There is a pantry on the second floor of the hotel, providing free desserts, snacks, fruits, soda, milk and ice cream (vanilla and strawberry flavors are delicious). Who knows the happiness of sneaking out at night to get snacks! The potato chips are produced by a local family farm in York. There are many flavors and they are really delicious! So much so that I took a few packs with me when I left, which brought joy to the second half of our journey. 🍁Scenery: The hotel itself is a dark gray pointed-roof brick building with an exterior wall surrounded by red and green ivy, which is very consistent with York's mysterious and retro temperament. The first time I passed by it, I exclaimed how beautiful it was and how happy it would be to live there. It turned out to be our hotel! Our room faces the street on two sides, and the large glass windows have a beautiful view. At night, vehicles and pedestrians pass by from time to time but it is not noisy. During the day, sitting by the window, drinking coffee and looking at the street view, I feel relaxed. The interior of the building is made of wood, and the spiral staircase and interior decoration are old-fashioned but high-end, and very photogenic.
