📍Lijiang Wenhai Village 🚗It is recommended to rent a car or carpool by yourself, starting from Lijiang Ancient Town, which takes about an hour. It's expensive to take a taxi, and you may have to wait a while to get back. Riding a scooter is not recommended because it's windy and unsafe. After going up the mountain from Baisha Ancient Town, the road is winding and bumpy. Friends who are prone to motion sickness should take good care of themselves. Novice drivers should pay attention to safety. ▫️Recommended photo spots: ❶ When you are almost at the village, there is a high point on the right (there is a coffee cart), and the bird's-eye view of Wenhai is really beautiful ❷Across the lake, standing by the lake, taking a telephoto shot from the road to the snow-capped mountains, it feels like being in Tibet ❸The wooden house and big tree at Ritz-Carlton, Illuminati really look like you are in a foreign country. You will look good no matter how you take photos. Be careful when you go up to the roof. Sometimes the wind will be very strong. After taking photos, you can go down to the house to warm yourself by the fire. There are also deer, lambs, yaks, marmots, lambs and horses on the grassland. You can ask the hotel front desk for some carrots to feed them. They will be more friendly. ❹Fuguo Temple: You will pass by it on the way up the mountain. You can go and see it if you have time. ❺ A recently opened coffee shop: Wild Deer Café, with a huge floor-to-ceiling window. It was like walking into a painting. 📝tips: ❶ It is recommended to go to Wenhai in the morning, when there are fewer people and the light is soft, which is very photogenic ❷If you go in the afternoon, the time to go down the mountain should be controlled before 17:00, as the mountain road will be difficult to drive after dark. ❸It would be better if you can stay for one night, because you can take pictures of the sunset and Jinshan, which is super beautiful ❹The wind in Wenhai is very strong in winter, so you should wear a hat, scarf and gloves and keep warm ❺Wenhai is not big, it only takes two or three hours to walk around while playing and taking pictures ❻ The lake is prone to ice in winter, so be careful when visiting the lake 🏠We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton, Wenhai, mainly because we had never stayed in Wenhai before and wanted to give it a try. There weren’t many places to stay in Wenhai, so I just chose the best one. So it’s not that I didn’t spend any money, it’s really good. The hotel has a very good sense of design and the rooms are very comfortable, with plenty of sunlight and floor heating. When taking pictures, it really gives you the illusion of being abroad. During breakfast, the restaurant was filled with sunshine, outside was the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and the pool was sparkling, it was so beautiful. You won't be bored in the hotel. In the afternoon, the hotel will organize you to go up the mountain to pick pine cones and do handmade DIY. In the evening, there will be a bonfire party and pot-dance with tea and pot-dance around the fire. If you like to drink, you can also drink the barley wine brewed in the store. It has a high alcohol content, so don't drink too much. How can you miss Wenhai when you come to Lijiang? This small Naxi village under the snow-capped mountains has few people, beautiful scenery, quiet and comfortable environment, and is perfect for a slow-paced travel.
