Clouds and Terraces: The Nine Bends of Clouds

I have seen many terraces in Yunnan and Guangxi, each with its own unique features and charm. However, the Yunhe Terraces in Lishui, Zhejiang, stand out first and foremost because of their name. The slogan of the scenic area, 'Terraces of Poetry and Painting, Yunhe and Your World,' is quite enchanting. Under the scorching sun of midsummer, it is not easy for tourists, but the sight of the lush green terraces still sparks great interest. The viewing platforms and the small paths along the ridges are filled with the sounds of tourists taking photos and their cheerful laughter. People who have been confined to the concrete jungles of cities for a long time experience the joy of 'escaping the cage and returning to nature' here. My nephew, who is forty years younger than me, specifically requested to walk down into the terraces to listen to the sound of water flowing from one terrace to another and to see the insects occasionally startled from the rice seedlings. For him, even the occasional croak of a frog is particularly interesting, not knowing that his great-uncle was often annoyed by the incessant croaking that kept him awake at night during his childhood.
