Maksimir park just outside the centre of Zagreb is the oldest park in Zagreb and it’s a tranquil place with shaded trails, lakes, diverse wildlife, playgrounds and even a zoo. Have a wander around, bring a picnic and find a beautiful spot to enjoy your lunch, taking a break from all the sightseeing.
