Huguangyan Core Attractions: 1️⃣ Maar Lake: Formed by a volcanic eruption 160,000 years ago, the crater filled with water to form a lake with an area of about 2.3 square kilometers. It is one of the two maar lakes in the world. 2️⃣ Geological Museum: Mainly displays the volcanic geology and evolution of Leiqiong Global Geopark and Huguangyan, as well as the volcanic geology and ecological resources of the Leizhou Peninsula. It is a science museum integrating science, education, and tourism, and is worth a visit. 3️⃣ Lengyan Temple: Built in the late Sui Dynasty, it has a history of more than 1,400 years and is one of the 18 ancient temples in China. 4️⃣ Wanghailou: Also known as Guanyin Pavilion, it is located at the top of Shizifeng, the highest point of Huguangyan. Inside the building, there are two back-to-back Guanyin statues, each 12.8 meters high, named Wanghai Guanyin. It is the largest indoor Guanyin in western Guangdong. 5️⃣ Li Gang Zuiyue Statue: The statue recreates the scene of the Song Dynasty Prime Minister Li Gang and the abbot of Lengyan Temple, Master Shicong, drinking tea and writing the words "Huguangyan" on a whim.
