Yunnan·Zhaotong Ancient City

The core area of Zhaotong Ancient City, that is, the 2.97 square kilometers centered on Yuanmenkou (the urban area before 1985), Zhaotong Old City has four gates, the east is Fuzhen Gate, the south is Minning Gate, the west is Jichuan Gate, and the north is Quma Gate. Yuanmenkou is the center of the central axis of the southeast and northwest, and is the commanding height of the whole city. By the mid-1930s, there were 64 streets in the city. Zhaotong Ancient City has a long history of culture, and it has always been a place where culture is gathered. It is currently the only area with the largest scale and concentrated reflection of Zhaotong's historical culture and regional traditional features. It is the area where Zhaotong's traditional market culture and traditional street style are well preserved and the streets are the most dense. It has high historical value, cultural value and old Zhaotong emotional value. Especially the 0.67 square kilometers before the liberation, it is the main content of the ancient city protection.
