During the reigns of Kangxi and Qianlong, the temple underwent two large-scale renovations. After the reform and opening up, Zhengding County proposed the strategies of "cultural revitalization" and "tourism revitalization," carrying out systematic protection and restoration of Longxing Temple. In recent years, national cultural relic departments and local authorities have renovated buildings within the temple, such as the Rotating Scripture Library, Mani Hall, and Hall of Great Compassion, and have also implemented mural protection projects. Longxing Temple covers an area of 82,500 square meters and has more than ten halls and pavilions of varying sizes, distributed along the north-south central axis and on both sides, creating a varied and distinct layout. The temple's architecture is primarily in the Song Dynasty style, reflecting the unique charm of ancient Chinese architecture. The Hall of Great Compassion is the main building of Longxing Temple. Originally built in the fourth year (971) of the Kaibao era of the Northern Song Dynasty, it houses a 21.3-meter-tall bronze statue of the Thousand-Hand and Thousand-Eye Guanyin. Mani Hall is a model of Song Dynasty architectural style, featuring a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof. Inside the hall are the Ming Dynasty mural "Pictures of the Western Paradise" and a colorful hanging sculpture of the inverted Guanyin, resembling both human and deity. It's a pity that China's largest existing Song Dynasty bronze statue of the Thousand-Hand Guanyin is undergoing a 760-day restoration. The bronze statue of the Thousand-Buddha Vairocana Buddha and the Sui Dynasty stele, which pioneered Tang Dynasty regular script, are truly captivating. The scenery is wonderful! It's excellent!
