Punch in at Zhoushan's black pebble beach - Wushitang

The first stop of the Zhoushan trip was Wushitang on the west coast of Zhangzhou Bay on Zhujiajian Island. As the name suggests, Wushitang is famous for being covered with gray-black pebbles all over the sea embankment. The smooth and round stones have colorful patterns, forming this imposing black pebble beach. Zhujiajian has two Wushitangs, among which the large Wushitang in Zhangzhou Bay is more than 500 meters long, and there is another one on the southern foot of the Dazhan Mountain in Zhujiajian, which is 350 meters long and is called the 'Small Wushitang.' The ticket for the large Wushitang is 40 yuan, while the small Wushitang is free. Actually, I came here because I booked a ticket for 'Impression Putuo' for the elderly and incidentally booked a package of 'Impression Putuo' + Dongsha + Wushitang. Since the package included Wushitang, I came to play. But I have to say, the impression of Wushitang is not very good. The seawater is not very clean and somewhat black, and there was even a smell at noon. The pebble beach is not suitable for playing in the water, and the seawater is too dirty, so besides walking on the pebble beach, there is nothing else to do, which is a bit monotonous; if you want to take a boat to sea and pull crab cages, it costs extra. There is also a small water park behind the pebble beach where children can play. In the end, I stayed at Wushitang for less than half an hour. Complaints aside, it's not all bad. Here are a few points I think are okay, you can judge for yourself~ 1. If you just want to take a look at the black pebble beach, you can get a full view from outside the scenic area without buying a ticket. Also, outside working hours in the evening or early morning, you don't need to buy a ticket, and there should be fewer people. 2. Although the seawater quality is average, the black pebbles are quite high-end, and if you know how to take photos, this place can still produce good shots. 3. It is said that in summer, you can chase the blue tears at Wushitang. 4. I went in 2023, and it is said that Wushitang will be upgraded in 2024. I took a look at the upgraded water park, and it looks pretty good.
