Zhouzhuang, have you been to it?

If I were asked to rank the water towns in the south of the Yangtze River, I would choose Wuzhen first and Zhouzhuang second. Zhouzhuang is undoubtedly the earliest famous water town in China and one of the most well-known water towns. Chen Yifei's famous painting "Double Bridges" brought Zhouzhuang onto the international stage for the first time. The strong homesickness crossed the ocean and built a bridge of friendship between Zhouzhuang and the international community. In addition to Shuangqiao, Shen Wansan's former residence is also a business card of Zhouzhuang. As the richest man in Jiangnan during the Ming Dynasty, his family's stories and pig's trotters (which tasted good) were everywhere in the streets and alleys of Zhouzhuang. When people came here, they would bring some pig's trotters as souvenirs to send to relatives and friends. As the saying goes, the land and water shape the people. If Wuzhen has a stronger cultural atmosphere (it focuses more on reading, and produced Mao Dun and Mu Xin), Zhouzhuang has a stronger commercial atmosphere (it focuses more on business, and produced Shen Wansan).
