Shaoxing Hiking for Beginners

Zhaomagang can be considered a popular route now, with one side of the internet filled with check-in photos of fragrant fir trees, and the other side commenting on how this route has become popular in the past two years and is not interesting. Perhaps because I had no expectations and didn't care about taking pictures, the actual scenery of Zhaomagang this season exceeded my expectations. It is a route worth recommending for a day trip from Shanghai for leisure 👍 Under the fragrant fir trees, there are patches of small yellow flowers, and the mountain is full of colorful azaleas. The road conditions are mainly easy-to-walk dirt paths, very suitable for a spring stroll. 🚶 Route Search for Zhaomagang in two steps, starting and ending at Huangkeng Village for a small loop of 8KM. If you choose to walk into the village, it's an additional 2KM round trip, with a total ascent of 600m, ascending in the first half and descending in the second half. 🚶 Road Conditions As shown in the picture, the main paths are dirt and stone steps. The descent is slippery but the slope is manageable. 🚶 Scenery The fragrant fir forest is just budding this season, and the fruits will come in autumn. Both the uphill and downhill paths are lined with fragrant fir trees, many of which are thick and sturdy, especially like the fragrant fir forest downhill, accompanied by small yellow flowers, very satisfying 💯 The popular stone itself is ordinary, but it still makes for good photo effects. The wisteria and the purple-red and pink azaleas are the highlights of this route this season. 🚶 Supplies There are drinks for sale on the mountain, but they are brought up by individuals, so there is uncertainty. Huangkeng Village has food supplies and toilets 🚾 🚶 Walking Equipment For the descent, consider bringing trekking poles and knee protection. If it's hot, it's recommended to carry more than 1L of water
