| A stunningly beautiful lesser-known grassland - Hongshiya Mountain Pasture. During the summer vacation of 2023, I went to Hohhot for a concert and took the opportunity to explore around the city. I originally planned to visit the Huitengxile Grassland, but I heard it was crowded, so I found the Hongshiya scenic area which is closer. 🚙 Driving from Hohhot to the Hongshiya scenic area, the journey is over 60 kilometers, and once you leave the urban area, it's mostly mountain roads. Following the navigation, you can reach the entrance of the scenic area within two hours, where you need to buy a ticket 🎫, 60 yuan per person. The scenery gets better as you approach the scenic area, and there are places to stop and gaze into the distance along the way. It's best to drive an SUV or a mid-to-large size car. ⛰️ July and August are the most beautiful months for the grasslands. The innermost part of the Hongshiya scenic area is called Tianci Grassland, which is a high mountain pasture. This area is still relatively less visited by tourists, with lush grass and sheep and cattle scattered everywhere, offering stunning views! You can see the endless grasslands, rolling hills, and flat grassland roads. 📸 Here you can ride horses and camels, and it's recommended to wear white or light-colored clothes for better photos. You can also camp overnight 🏕️. 🌌 At night, you can see the Milky Way with the naked eye, and occasionally the trajectory of satellites passing through the brilliant starry sky. However, capturing the Milky Way is a bit difficult due to the light pollution from Hohhot in the south.
