Durham cathedral is also famous as a filming location for Harry Potter several years ago. There are many famous religious buildings in the UK such as York Minster and Canterbury Cathedral. I often think because of its northern location Durham cathedral can be overlooked by tourists, however, it is well worth a visit to enjoy the city and it’s amazing old cathedral.
